Calling all leaders who love their people!
Blackfish Companies is looking for a warm, sharp, problem-solving Property Manager to lead Cambridge Apartments, our 163-unit community in Provo. Cambridge already has a solid team, proven processes and residents who love living here. We need a leader to take the helm, keep things running well and make a good thing even better.
If you’re an experienced manager who wants a well-run community, or an assistant manager ready for your first property, this could be the one for you.
What you’ll do
Make Cambridge a place people love coming home to
- Keep the service culture strong so residents feel heard and problems get solved quickly
- Lead renewals and retention, and personally handle the tricky conversations
- Respond to online reviews and protect Cambridge’s reputation
Own the numbers
- Keep occupancy high and leasing on track
- Stay on top of delinquency and collections, following our established SOPs
- Manage the annual budget and track budget vs. actuals
- Approve POs and invoices, and keep vendor relationships strong
Lead the pod
- Coach, support and celebrate an established leasing and maintenance team
- Set clear expectations and hold people accountable in a positive, encouraging way
- Work with maintenance on work orders, make-readies, preventative maintenance and emergencies
Keep it tight
- Make sure the property complies with Fair Housing, Utah landlord-tenant law and company SOPs
- Keep Entrata records clean and finish reports and audits on time
You might be our person if you…
- Have multifamily property management experience (rockstar assistant managers ready to level up, we see you!)
- Know leasing, collections and Fair Housing well
- Have used Entrata or similar software (Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio)
- Are good with numbers and Excel
- Communicate clearly and kindly, in person and in writing
- Are HONEST! (This one is non-negotiable.)
- Bonus points for a CAM or ARM certification
The perks
- Performance-based bonuses
- PTO, paid holidays and 401(k)
- Ongoing training (Grace Hill, Leasing University, and a leadership team that invests in your growth)
- Established processes and a great team, so you’re set up to succeed from day one
- A team that works hard, has fun and has your back
Schedule: Full-time, primarily Monday–Friday, with some evenings and Saturdays as the season requires. You’ll need to pass a background check and drug screening.
